Student Blogs

Grade 5/6C students have all begun blogging, either on their own blogs or on personal pages on this blog. The links below will take you to each student’s work. Some of the items you might find on the student blogs are:

  • self portraits of students wearing a teeshirt which represents them.
  • student profiles which share some information about what each student likes and dislikes, and how they like to spend their time.
  • student goals for semester 1, 2008. Each student set a personal goal and a learning goal, and these were each deconstructed into sets of three steps.
  • a treasure map designed and drawn by the students. We used these maps to learn about map features, coordinates, compass directions and scale.
  • Other stuff - some students have posted stories or other items of interest to them.

Ot her items under consideration are book reviews, personal writing and art work, the latter especially since students learned to upload their own photos to their blogs!

All class members are keen to receive feedback and suggestions - please post comments if you have some ideas or thoughts to share! :-)

I think that your blog is fantastic, and really cool. Your DECA story was awesome, especially the part when you were saying that the bikes were big and scary, ha ha ha. The way that you have decorated the background is very, very pretty, creative and the pink really stands out a lot!

    Hi Freya,

I had noticed that the ClustrMap seemed to mess up all of the blogs using Vistered Little as a theme - but I was hoping that was only on my computer! I will ask about the problem on the forums (they can often fix problems or tell us how to) but otherwise your choice may be a ClustrMap OR Vistered Little, not both.

I hope you are having a great holiday - I am!

    Mrs C
